HurricaneGrassroots is exactly as stated.
Two separate; true words, smashed together and united as one.
The first, is a location. Hurricane, Utah. A community nestled between St. George and Zion National Park.
The second, is the very idea of what a few republican precinct delegates envisioned when they set out on a quest to help educated and inform voters concerning current elections.
The current political system is poisoned by the establishment and with signature write-ins from the inception of SB54 that in reality is undermining the caucus system. The Grassroots Caucus System has been fundamental in the foundation of this great nations political process. Utah communities are divided up into precincts. Each precinct votes in March at their separate caucus meeting on chairs, vice-chairs, and other elected roles that include a handful of county and state delegates. These delegates are entrusted with the responsibility to go to their respective county and state conventions where votes take place to help determine who ends up on the voters ballot. By allowing signature write-ins the caucus system becomes “less effective” as the political weeds aren’t getting pulled and apathetic uneducated voters can become overwhelmed by so many choices on the June primary ballot. This is a call to action.
